Welcome to my fishing update report 8/15/007 Fishing couldn't be better. There are plenty of striped bass biting the hook off of Gloucester. Bluefish are in abundance, fish being taken in the 8-16lb. class. 8/19/007 Friday was a hard half day of fishing, with winds out of the N/W at 30kts we had only caught a few stripers. 8/20/007 The fish were biting today. Both stripers and bluefish were hitting the baits. Most of the 34 stripers caught were in the 20- 24" range with only 3 being keepers. The blues were eating the mono with a lot of break offs since we do not use wire leaders, but we managed to land 3 that were lip hooked.
